Podcast: Last Minute Tax Tips for Microbusinesses

Posted on | March 31, 2008 | Comments Off

It’s the last day of March … which might mean different things to different people.

It might mean that your body may finally be almost ready to catch up with the rest of the country, now that we’re just about at the point at which we used to spring our clocks forward.

It might meant that it’s time for you to get out into the garden to clear the beds so that the daffodils get a little sunlight.

Or, it might be about time for you to notice that the deadline to file your income taxes is a scant fifteen days away.

I can’t help you with your internal clock or your daffodils, but I can point you toward the National Association for the Self-Employed as every taxpaying microbusiness owner’s best friend. In addition to their existing resources, I’ll have a podcast interview for you with friendly tax reminders from their tax guru, Keith Hall, in this space tomorrow. Watch for it.

Plus there’s news of a new SBA initiative targeting growth-oriented small inner-city businesses and new research on the impact of currency rates on small manufacturer exits (one of the few pieces of research I’ve ever seen on manufacturing that covers micro-manufacturers with fewer than 10 employees).

But, listen for yourself:
